1. Weight Check: Compare weights with equal volumes; if the weights are the same, it is copper; otherwise, it is another material.

2. File Test: Use a file to file the wire; if white powder appears, it is likely copper-plated aluminum.

3. Burn Test: Copper has a much higher melting point than aluminum. Aluminum wire, when coated with a layer of copper and drawn, is lighter and offers better transmission performance. It is especially suitable for the inner conductor of RF coaxial cables. Compared to pure copper, its density is about 40%, and its transmission characteristics are superior, making it an ideal inner conductor for RF coaxial cable branch lines.

Silver-plated copper wire is made from high-quality oxygen-free copper plated with silver or drawn. It exhibits excellent conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and resistance to high-temperature oxidation.
